Sweeter Life Ministries is thrilled to invite you to our Third Annual Ladies’ Retreat, and we can’t wait to share this special weekend with you! This year, our theme is "Under His Wings" and we’ll gather at The Refuge, a beautiful waterfront lodge nestled along the Pungo River in eastern North Carolina.
The Refuge is owned by Operation Resolute, a Christian ministry dedicated to serving military members, their families, and chaplains. The lodge was created to provide a place for rest, reconnection, and renewal, and we are excited to enjoy its peaceful setting for our time together.
Imagine peaceful water views, time to slow down, delicious food, meaningful conversations, laughter with sisters in Christ, and opportunities to rest and refresh your spirit. Whether you come with a friend or arrive ready to make new ones, this weekend is an opportunity to be encouraged, build lasting connections, and enjoy the gift of Christian sisterhood.
With over 6,000 square feet of space and over 100 private acres of land, The Refuge offers a wonderful backdrop for a weekend away. The house features a large living room with a fireplace, an expansive back deck overlooking the river, a boat dock, and six bedrooms (four beds per room), each with its own private bathroom, providing plenty of room for ladies to settle in and enjoy the retreat together.
From peaceful moments by the water to conversations that linger long after a meal, we look forward to making sweet memories in this special place. Bring your Bible, your favorite comfortable clothes, and an open heart. Come ready to slow down, share a meal, enjoy the beauty of the river, and spend meaningful time with your sisters in Christ.
